Textbook is important resources of practicing teaching and achieving the curriculum goal. As the course content carrier, the textbook has manifested the achievements in the course content reform. Looking over physical curriculum reforms in various countries, the textbook reform is the most important.This paper, based on PEP version senior physics textbook and《Physics: Principles and Problems》(9—12 Grade), has employed literature analytic approach , statistic analytic approach and case analytic approach to focus on the research as follows:Firstly, from the text angle, this paper compares the essential factors in form of the two sets of textbooks including the columns, diagrams and exercises.Secondly, this paper compares the content factors of the two sets of textbooks including the element of knowledge and ability, the element of process and methods and the element of emotion.Thirdly, the paper analyze the characteristics of the two sets of textbooks.Finally, the author gives some suggestions on PEP version senior physics textbook and some enlightenments about compiling a textbook.By comparing the two sets of textbooks, this thesis defines the differences in the ideas of physics education and teaching methods in the two countries. It contains positive significance to know the differences between the two series of physics textbooks. It also contains reference value to improve compiling our country's physics textbook.
