Li Xigui is a contemporary well-known educator. In late eighties and early nineties of the twentieth century, faced with the plight of Chinese education, Li Xigui resolutely carried out the reform in Chinese education. Based on his years of educational practice and humanistic theory, he put forward the idea of"Chinese Lab Plan", which turned out a great success as a result of its foresight and innovation. However, this achievement was not widely popularized. Therefore, combined with the new achievements in education field, the writer tried to explore the theoretical significance of Li Xigui's Chinese education. In this way,"Chinese Lab Plan"can gain more theoretical support, and its value and significance can be further improved. With qualitative research methods, the writer introduces Li Xigui's idea of Chinese education from the macro level, and then readers can form new systematic understandings, and references can be made for Chinese reform.The whole article is divided into four parts to explain Li Xigui's ideas and practice in Chinese education. The first part introduces the reason why Li Xigui's ideas of Chinese education was formed, including contemporary and educational development trends, individual growth experience,"Reading ? thinking"way of life, etc. The second part is about the ultimate value of Li Xigui's Chinese education, which is unfolded in three aspects: humanistic education, conceptions guided by humanistic education idea (conceptions of education, talents, students and teaching), and Chinese education as well. The third part is about the practice of Li Xigui's humanistic idea in Chinese education - Chinese Lab Plan, including comments on Chinese Lab Plan, reading-teaching view, writing-teaching view, and Chinese teaching activities. The last part displays the significance of Li Xigui's ideas and practices in Chinese education. From the aspects of Chinese course view, Chinese value orientation, teacher-student relationship and Chinese-teaching methods, it shows the influence of Li Xigui's ideas and practices on contemporary Chinese education reform.
