Folk arts, as one unique style of our Chinese arts, has a long history. It was created by the masses to be an original, mass-based, functional art, in the process of struggle and amalgamation with the Mother Nature, so it was embodied important significance from the very beginning. The masses created it , appreciated it , and entertained themselves with full passion and affectionateness, and it was closely connected to the folk life , so it contained the creators'thoughts and emotion, companied their happiness and sorrow, life and death . It was the carrier of folk culture, and it was the intuitionitive symbol of the masses'ideas, thoughts, emotion, taste and spirits. Nowadays the folk arts is treated coldly , more and more folk arts appeared or lost to the foreign countries , which drew the attention and care of many studier and scholars and a rescuing upsurge of folk culture rose.With the holding of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Promoting the great development of socialist culture for the construction of harmonious society has become an important part for National revival.Through bringing honor to the outstanding traditional culture, absorbing its essence to be the content of the modern national culture, maintaining the national and independent characters has become the developing need. As an important part of our fine folk culture, the folk art needs badly the rescuing and inheritance because of its rich types and Comprehensiveness. The best and efficient way is through education. Although the extent and deepness of folk art education is not satisfying, some folk art of local color has been passed on and protected well in the locals through folk art education, what's more, there has been study report and books published, which brought us great inspiration. Nowadays, more and more kindergartens realized the importance of folk art education, rich and colorful folk art education activities were launched, but on the whole, the movement was formalistic, lack of systematical theoretic guide. It was proved by researches that folk art closely agrees with children, early folk arts education as a long-term project is feasible and necessary with great values.The study was based the understanding of current early folk arts education, attempting to reveal the value of early folk arts education from the theory support angle. Children-centered and according to the developing characters of children , from microscopic to macroscopic, the study can be divided into four main aspects to study systematically the folk art educational values to children, namely, promoting the esthetic ability, passing down the fine national culture, developing the fine moral quality, cultivating the national spirits.The paper's structure was generally as follows, according to the above ideas. Part one is outline, mainly defines some relevant concepts, including folk art, folk art education, early folk art education, and also brings up the studying angle of view, which is the foundation of the paper. Part two analyses the promoting values of esthetic ability of early folk arts education to early children, mainly through esthetic feeling ability, esthetic appreciating ability, esthetic creative ability. Part three mainly analyzes the passing values of the fine traditional culture of early folk arts education to early children, and the part tries to understand traditional culture through material culture and spiritual culture. Part four studies morals in accord with psychological theories and children's developing rules ,and states the building values of fine moral quality of early folk arts education to early children. Part five states the cultivating values of national spirits, mainly the national affection, of early folk arts education to early children through folk art to foster national confidence and pride, make children experience national spirits and strengthen national spirits. Summarizing part, simply states the author's suggestions and ideas about early folk arts education, mainly includes curricula folk art, emphasize folk art education practice, choose appropriate folk art by using kinds of strategies, in hope of helping give some general and constructive inspirations.
