Research AimsAerobics plays a good role in building up students' health,building beautiful shapes,increasing the aesthetic judgment and fostering the development in psychological quality.Nowadays,aerobics has become a popular physical education course in colleges.It has also become one of the popular extracurricular activities and of the good ways to build up a physique.The innovation and development in the aerobics c teaching in colleges are quite out of balance with the further development in teaching reform.The research based on the practice in college teaching reform and the national guiding program for college physical education teaching curriculums analyses the current situation in college aerobics teaching in Qingdao,which advances the course improvement and development strategies,providing the relative basis for the development and reform in college aerobics teaching for the purpose of developing excellent courses.Research MethodsMethods include the reference to literature,questionnaires, interviews,logic analysis and mathematic statistics.Research Results(1) Aerobics teaching in colleges in Qingdao is set in the form of optional event or optional courses,which is mainly taken part in by female students.(2) The teachers teaching aerobics in colleges in Qingdao are relatively young and their academic titles are a bit lower. There is some room in improving their degrees and their research ability. The numbers of malle and female teachers are out of proportion.(3) Three out of seven colleges in Qingdao have relatively perfect guiding program in aerobics teaching,whose contents and objectives are to be improved. The contents in aerobics teaching include(?)al aerobics standards for mass exercises the basic steps and a series of skills in aerobics,self-worked-out aerobics and healthy dynamic exercise for Chinese students".There is a shortage of teaching hours in aerobics theories.The teaching contents are relatively shallow and impractical. The traditional teaching method is mainly adopted in aerobics teaching, i.e.teachers demonstrate the actions and students do exercises.The test contents in aerobics are mainly made up of evaluation in technology, health quality,study attitude and so on,which is undertaken in the form of marking.(4) The students are relatively poor.in the basis of aerobics.88%students like it.Their hobbies,building up a beautiful shape and building up a physique are the main reasons for choosing aerobics.66.3%students are satisfied with teachers' work.(5) There is a great difference in aerobics equipment in the colleges in Qingdao. Aerobics extracurricular activities have not been widely spread.(6) The teachers and the students fundamentally share the same opinion on the factors which have an impact on the course development in aerobics.Reform measures:The research raises the improvement of curriculum and development strategies in five aspects,in the light of the current situation of aerobics course and the standards for the excellent curriculum.(1) Clarify the quality and orientation of aerobics course.(2) Establish the objective system of aerobics course.(3) Deepen the teaching reform in curriculum,establishing the teaching form,in which students of the same grade are divided into different levels.It is suggested to select good teaching contents,to optimize the teaching methods,to foster the students' innovative ability,to rationalize the sports load in aerobics course,to build the integrated curriculum structure of the in-class and out-of-class and to improve the test and evaluating methods in aerobics course(4) Strengthen the development of the teaching contingents and improve their professional skills.(5) Increase the funds and improve the sports ground and the equipment.
