Shandong Province University High Level Basketball Player Achievement Goal And Mental Locus Of Control Research

Achievement goal and mental locus of control research is the hot spots in the field of sports psychology.In this study,there are 168 basketball players in 2008 Shandong Province CUBA qualifying men's and women's team quarter-finals in the study.The purposes are whether the college basketball player have the suitable achievement goal and mental locus of control,and whether there are differences among the different sexes, education,grades,locations,and to explore the relationship between achievement goal,mental locus of control and competition performance. The results showed that:1.To the task goal orientation,there were remarkable differences between sexes and grades.To the self-goal orientation,there were remarkable differences between sexes,grades and locations.To the task goal orientation,there were interactions between sexes and education.2.Success in situations of internal locus of control(SI),there were remarkable differences between sexes,grades and locations.Failure in situations of internal locus of control(FI),there were remarkable differences between sexes and locations.To FI,there were interactions between sexes and locations.3.Achievement goal orientation and mental locus of control and competition performance are significantly related.4.Task goal orientation and FI are significantly related.Different types of achievement goal' s college basketball players have significant differences in the mental locus of control.
