Researching On The Status Quo And Strategy Of Ballroom Dancing Teaching In The Universities Of Hunan Province

Since the middle 1980s,dance sport has been spread into China,which has witnessed rapid popularization and promotion. After entering college Physical Education in the middle 1990s, it becomes popular among college students;because dance sport has combined sports with dance,bears the value of fitness training and powerful entertainment function beneficial to communication.However,at present,there are still some problems in university dance sport teaching,such as teaching content,teaching measures,equipment venues and faculty cooperation still need to be improved and optimized.Based on the comprehensive understanding of present status or current situation of dance sport teaching in common universities in Hunan province,this thesis probes into detailed investigation and analysis,and further defined the role of dance sport in quality education in common universities,which provided valuable source for the development and reform for dance sport teaching in common universities in Hunan province.Based on the investigation of present status of dance sport teaches in common universities in Hunan province,this thesis has found served characteristics of dance sport teaching as follows:一With its distinctive features,dance sport courses enjoys irresistible temptation for most college students二Dance sport classes totals to 36—72 periods generally, which is far away to meat the requirements for studying and mastering of basic knowledge and skills for students三At present,over 90%of teachers engaging in dance sport teaching take charge of dance sport teaching from other teaching positions 四There has been no systematic textbooks at present,the teaching content is set according to the practical situation, combing with materials by teachers in every university五During the teaching process,the majority of universities do not make full use of multi-media materials to complement and deepen the content of teaching;the teaching method is simple,and some universities continue to perform teaching outside of classrooms.There are even some universities which conduct teaching on basketball course.六With restrictions in total teaching periods,avenues and other factors,the demand to get further improvement for those students with better foundation cannot be met.This thesis put forward the main strategies for the sustainable development of dance sport teaching in common universities in Hunan province as the following:1) to keep on optimizing dance sport teaching faculty2) to improve teaching environment3) to actively create artistic atmosphere of dancing culture on campus4) to regulate the textbook system and optimize teaching content5) to enrich teaching methods in order to arouse interest from students6) to promote diversified choices of dance sport courses and establishment of association of dance sport7) to strengthen the theoretical research of dance sport teaching and the counter strategical research of the development of dance sport courses in universities...
