That mathematics education in high school should emphasize theory or application is actually a mind-set problem .To face the new century ,the competition between talented persons is an intellectual competition and thought training should be "an important mission of foundation education "Meanwhile,the modern society presents informationalization and high technology characteristics and mathematics is needed more and more .So which one of the two wind-sets should be emphasized is put in front of every maths educater.The maths syllabus for high school education clearly put maths application at an equal position with the other "three most important abilities "while it's obvious that calculating, logic thought and space thinking emphasize the abstract thinking .Professor Zhang Xi 'en pointed out that maths education should not only give students knowledge but also the ability to raise questions mathematically ,to abstract practical problem into maths problem and to analysis ,study and solve it with the training of maths thoughts and maths way of thinking .Maths comes from practice ,exists in practice and is utilized in practice ,so maths application could arouse thought activism,develop thinking ways and train the three most important abilities of students .Therefore ,the maths application consciousness and the training of the three most important abilities are closely related to each other and can propel each other ,ie the thought training and application are dialectically united.Combining with the high school maths teaching practice ,I summarize the maths application research by the maths education field abroad and the domestic maths education history in the first part of this thesis ,pointing out that only quite a few scholars hone and abroad have proceeded systematic study on the combination of theories and fulfillment although some of them have made successful research .In the second part ,I gave a clear definition of the maths application consciousness can reflect one's quality and ability .The thought quality ofintuition independence ,criticization ,finding difference and creation reflects not only the ability of insight .differentiate,analogy ,extend and abstract ,but also the character of active thinking ,study and creativity .In the third part ,I discuss the necessity of training the maths application consciousness, by the following four aspects (l)Science development needs maths (2)Maths and all walks of life are vitally related (3)The exactation of life quality depends on the plentifulness of maths knowledge (4)Maths, as a culture , gives people not only knowledge (4)Maths ,as a culture ,gives people not only knowledge but also ability and spirit ,the ability of heuristics,logic thoughts and precision calculation :to explore and create during the process of observation .experiment ,imimate .supposition .verification .refute reason and prove :the wise spirit of search for fact .for truth ,and for beauty ,In the fourth part I analysis the practice and find two aspects affecting the students ' application consciousness :The first aspect is the teaching material .The second is that in practical teaching ,the influence of the college Entrance Exammination baton and the education gauge system pats the teachers at a condition that they can't make decision in spite of themselves .The teachers could have been able to make up the lack on teaching material by improving teaching methods while the fact is actually the opposite .In the fifth part .combining with my own teaching experience ,I proved treatise on how to train students' maths application consciousness from seven aspects as follows :(l)Lead in concept and examples (2)Select ample questions and examples .(3)Set up movable lessons and create applicable circumstances (4)"backgroundize "some pure maths problems (5)Make full use of multi-media means such as computer ,to educate students' maths application consciousness (6)Exacte maths language education and enhance comprehension ability (7) Train maths application ability on special subjects combining with...
