The arrival of the information age makes the development of online education provide an unprecedented advantages. The network model of education is embodied by the teaching model of network courses, so in order to study the network model of education,it is in practice to study the teaching model of network courses. Therefore, studing the teaching model of network courses is of great significance.Since 2007, the Ministry of Education launched the construction named "The excellent Courses of National Web-based Education".In 2007, 59 pilot colleges and universities (including Central Radio and TV University) declare 189 courses to participate in quality assessment which accounted for 86.8 percent of colleges and universities. In 2008, there were 54 pilot colleges and universities which declared a total of 159 courses, and accounted for 79.4 percent. Basically, the courses involved may declare the current state of the network programs construction. So, with the evaluation of products from these representative network courses, this study may explore the characteristics of teaching model and the impact on student learning,and make recommendations to optimize teaching.With collating and summarizing the status quo at home and abroad, the study clarifies the background,content,objectives, and make a summary on the understanding of different teaching models, classifications and related theoretical studies. First of all, it researches the seven characteristics of the teaching model.Second,it takes a choice of teaching activities based on the classification of teaching, which is combined with the analysis of seven characteristics. And through the associated two-factor analysis of variance, it gives several proposals about the use of a variety of teaching models to optimize the design of teaching and promote the teaching.The innovation is that it summarizes seven basic characteristics of the teaching model and the features in different models of performance, and makes recommendations to optimize the teaching.In the meatime,the study takes the analysis of relevant data to optimize the e-learning teaching model which provides the basis of specific data. 18 charts, 19 tables and 61 references were included.
