Task-Based Language Teaching(TBLT) and Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) have attracted more and more attention these years and have been applied into classes both at home and abroad. The aim of this paper is to compare the controllability and feasibility of Task-Based Language Teaching and Communicative Language Teaching,and find out which one is more suitable for the language teaching in College education in China.Two parallel classes were selected to do this experiment.Task-Based Language Teaching method and Communicative Language Teaching method were applied into the two classes respectively for 20 weeks. SPSS was used to analyze the result of the posttests to find out which method help the subjects achieve higher English level.Besides,questionnaire also was designed to assure the credibility of the experiment.The experiment indicated that Task-Based Language Teaching help the subjects achieve higher English level.Up to now,researches and experiments have been carried out on Task-Based Language Teaching and Communicative Language Teaching respectively,but few research and experiment have been done on comparing with the two methods.This paper focuses on comparing with TBLT and CLT in the hope of shine a light on the future research and teaching.
