Teaching model is constructed under the guideline of teaching theories or teaching ideas.Therefore,various historical backgrounds of teaching theories and the disparity of their psychological basis also inevitably give rise to the limitations of the individual teaching mode,in another word,to bring to a different focus.The diversity of P.E teaching goal and the dynamic nature of the teaching and learning process,in addition,decide the mutual promotion and complement within various teaching models to jointly realize the necessity of teaching objectives.Hence,for a better operational research,to organize, simplify,optimize and integrate all kinds of P.E teaching models are of great practical significance.In this paper,a thorough study based on two teaching models,namely,"mastering learning" and "cooperative learning",integrates their advantages and organizes and optimizes them according to the course contents,teaching objectives,teaching strategies and teaching evaluation and the actual situation of the students and so on.Then it probes the ways to build "mastering- cooperative learning" teaching model,and make teaching experiments in volleyball course technique teaching with a strict control over the experimental process.The survey method includes the use of literature,experimental method,questionnaire,teaching experiment and mathematical statistics.The experiment results show that:(1) In the volleyball course technique teaching,with the implementation of "mastering - cooperative learning" teaching model,the scores of four basic skills of volleyball are higher than those of the students taught in a traditional way.The fact proves that the "mastering - cooperative learning" teaching model is more effective than the conventional ones.In colleges and universities,the use of "mastering - cooperative learning" teaching model in volleyball course is practical.(2) In "mastering - cooperative learning" teaching mode,the "feedback - corrective" measures and evaluation tools provide a strong guarantee for students to master the skills as well as for teachers to conduct further teaching.They are also helpful for students to learn and master the sports techniques.(3) The heterogeneous grouping and the cooperative strategy within group of "mastering - cooperative learning" teaching model can improve students' social communicative ability and their motivation for academic achievement.In a return,they also have a positive impact on the study and master of volleyball techniques.
