In the early 1990 s,cooperative learning entered China’s education circle.With the reform of the new curriculum,more and more experts put into the theoretical and practical research of cooperative learning.Cooperative learning is not only widely used in cultural subjects,but also achieved good results in physical education classes.Physical education is an indispensable part of quality education,which promotes students’ all-round physical and mental development.In the traditional volleyball class,the classroom teaching is mainly imparted by the teacher,focusing on the students’ learning of sports knowledge and motor skills.The teaching experiment in this paper is designed according to the theoretical basis of cooperative learning,and the classes are grouped according to the heterogeneous level,with students as the main body and students’ psychology as the starting point,so that students can explore learning in groups.Finally,the experimental results are compared and analyzed to observe the impact of cooperative learning teaching method on multiple aspects of students.This paper takes the students of two classes in grade one of Liao Cheng foreign language school as the experimental objects,one class as the experimental class,the other class as the control class.Two classes were tested for physical fitness before the experiment,and the experimental classes were grouped according to the theory of cooperative learning.Mainly using the literature material law,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method,interview method,experimental method and other research methods,through the use of cooperative learning teaching method in volleyball teaching practice research,testing of students’ physical quality,sports class participation,interest,to master volleyball technology as well as the impact of students’ cooperation consciousness.Compared with the traditional teaching method,the advantages and disadvantages of cooperative learning method in volleyball teaching are found out,which provides a new idea for volleyball teaching in high school.The results show that:(1)after the experiment,P of the experimental class and the control class was greater than 0.05 on the test results of approach height,50 m,standing long jump and 3m movement,showing no significant difference.(2)after the experiment,P was less than 0.05 in the scores of PE learning interest,PE learning motivation and PE learning attitude test of the two classes,showing significant differences in PE class participation interest.(3)After the experiment,P of the two classes was less than 0.05,showing a significant difference.(4)After the experiment,there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in the results of volleyball test and technique evaluation with P less than 0.05,and the experimental class had a better grasp of volleyball techniques and could use them more flexibly in the competition.Through the comparative analysis of the test scores of the two classes after the experiment,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)cooperative learning method has similar effects with traditional teaching method in terms of physical quality,and it cannot improve students’ physical quality significantly.(2)Cooperative learning method can improve students’ interest in participating in PE class and their sense of cooperation.(3)the application of cooperative learning method is conducive to the improvement of students’ volleyball performance and the mastery and application of volleyball skills.
