Status Quo And Development Countermeasures On Wushu Schools In Northern Anhui Regions In New Era

Private education has made great contribution to the prosperity of China's education cause and obtained more and more recognition since its revival and development in the 1970s. The Promulgation and implementation of Private Education Promotion Law has especially laid the foundation of the legal position of private education and promoted it's development. As one of the important parts of private education, the private Wushu schools experienced 20 years of ups and downs. They helped to pass on traditional national sport culture, cultivate competitive Wushu reserve, popularize Wushu activities for the mass and improve the national health level. They fully utilized the education resource beyond the government level, met the need of the schooling of different income level families, alleviated the contradictory of selecting the schools and lessened the burden of national compulsory education. They are the useful supplement and one of the forms of national compulsory education.However, in the new historical condition, Wushu schools have faced some new trends, new features and new problems. The competition for the students between Wushu schools and the ordinary middle and elementary schools is intenser than that in the couple of years ago. There are less students after the "Nine-year compulsory education" was implemented and the competition between the Wushu schools is fiercer than before. There is greater change in the family population structure than the 1980s and the absolute schooling population decreased. In some area, the implementation of Private Education Promotion Law is inadequate and Wushu schools' right cannot be guaranteed. The policy of "two exempts and one subsidy" should have benefited all the students in middle and elementary schools, but the students in the private Wushu schools cannot enjoy it. The multiple choice of schooling and employment makes the investors for the private Wushu schools lose their confidence, resulting in inefficient management. So in the new era, the private Wushu schools are facing a series of difficulties and existence crisis, and even bankruptcy. It is of great significance for the development of the schools.Applying literature, field investigation, interviews and questionnaires, the author investigated the status quo of private Wushu schools in northern Anhui regions. The present situation, the problems were analyzed from the aspect of outside environment factor and the inner factor. It is hopeful to provide reference for Wushu schools development.Aiming at the present situation of Wushu schools in northern Anhui region, the development countermeasures were proposed as the followings: (1) According to the social development, Wushu schools should have necessary transformation, however, with Wushu features outstanding.(2) Attempt to improve the school running and managing for the high quality and efficiency;(3) The hardware and software facilities should be strengthened to meet the teaching need in the new era;(4) To positively adapt to the market need, try to improve schooling running and managing level;(5) The schools should realize the Supplementary of economic benefit and social effect and strive for more policy support;(6) The government and the education department should put the private Wushu schools into the education plan and have overall arrangement.
