School property is an important part of education resource, and it is substance foundation of education. The management of school property plays an important role in schools mapping restructure. With adjustment to the distribution of school, school property management issues become increasingly prominent. It has important theoretical and practical significance to explore a effective strategy on the management of the school property.First, the paper comprehensively compares the related research and policies. It discusses the meaning of the school property, and defines the meaning used in this paper which only refers to the school property assets. It mainly includes the land, premises, equipments and other tangible assets. Then, the author describes the current situation of the management of the school property, and concludes that the resolution of school property issues should be based on property rights. Property rights of the schools which were merged were divided into two basic conditions. One is that assets are owned by the government. The other one is that properties rights are belong to the collective. In both cases, the priority is to ensure that schools property was used for education. However, sometimes it is difficult to put assets to the development of education. State-owned assets should be auctioned, replaced, or hired based on policies of the ministry of education. The proceeds should remain with educational administrative departments for the development of education. Proceeds of collective property must be returned to the village collective.This paper is divided into four parts, Introduction part defines the background of the problem, research significance and research methods. The part one discusses the status of the management of the school property. The part two sums up problems of the management of the school property, and analysis its causes. The part three classifies the source of the schools property. According to the relevant laws, policies and actual situation the author try to explore a reasonable and effective way to deal with these issues.
