Gender roles and peer interaction are the two important aspects of the social development of junior high school students, this study will be divided into four sex role types, they are the type of bisexual, masculine type, feminization type and undifferentiated type; The peer interaction will be divided into peer groups and the individual level, The level of the peer groups will inspect peer acceptance and peer refusal, the Individual level will study the positive friendship quality and the negative friendship quality. This study selected two junior high schools in Changchun, 480 students have join in the test, applying the "Bem Sex Role Inventory", the "Friendship Quality Questionnaire" and peer nomination, study the relationship between the type of gender roles and the peer interaction in junior high school students. This study is not only to provide empirical information on the study of the gender roles in junior high school students, but also enriched the study of the relationship between the type of gender roles and the peer interaction.The results show that:1. In the junior high school students, the type of bisexual accounts for the majority, followed by the undifferentiated type, once again is masculine type, the feminization type is the proportion of at least. There was a significant difference in the distribution of gender roles'four types.2. Controlling grade variables: the second year in junior high school, gender differences in sex-role types. In the male test, there is no grade differences in sex-role types. In the female test, there is a grade differences in sex-role types.3. According to the standards of accepted and rejected points, the students will be divided into five types of social status, The proportion of each type in order high to low is: the general type, popular type, neglected type, were rejected type, contradictions type.4. The peer group acceptance and the positive friendship quality were positively correlated. There was no significant difference in both gender and grade on the level of peer interaction.5. Whether male or female subjects, different types of gender roles have no significant differences in the peer group level. Different types of gender roles have a significant differences in the individual level. Male subjects, the scores of bisexual individuals are significantly higher than that of undifferentiated type and masculine type individuals and the scores of feminization type individuals are significantly higher than that of masculine type individuals in the dimension of the conflict and resolution; the scores of bisexual and feminization type individuals are significantly higher than that of undifferentiated type individuals in the dimension of the self-exposure and communication. Female subjects, the scores of bisexual individuals are significantly higher than that of undifferentiated type individuals in the dimension of the help and guidance. The scores of bisexual individuals and masculine type individuals are close to significant in the dimension of the help and guidance. All subjects, different types of gender roles have a significant differences in the individual level. The bisexual individuals have the best positive friendship qualities.6. Male subjects, there is significant positive correlation between temperament of man and accompanied and the entertainment, certainly and concern, help and guidance, self-exposure and communication. There is significant positive correlation between temperament of woman and peer acceptance, accompanied and the entertainment, conflict and resolution, help and guidance, self-exposure and communication. Female subjects, there is significant positive correlation between temperament of man and peer refusing, certainly and concern. There is significant positive correlation between temperament of woman and help and guidance.
