Junior middle school stage is a very important period in people's life.During this period,students' bodies and minds experience great changes.Friendship between their partners during this stage has a great influence on the students' physical and psychological health.Friendship can even influence their confidence and the forming of their self-concept.Through the theory study of the junior students' friendship quality and self-efficacy in both boarding and non-boarding schools,I adopted the scales to research the developing features and mutual relationship between friendship quality and self-efficacy in the boarding and non-boarding school.The scales adopted in this research are Friendship quality scale and General self-efficacy scale.The objects of this study are 693 students from Chengdu Shude High school(a boarding school)and Jinxi Middle school(a non-boarding school).The research conclusions are as follows.1.The highest score is about the trust and respect dimensionality in both boarding and non-boarding schools.Friendship quality in boarding school is obviously higher than that in the non-boarding school.The score of conflicts and betrayal dimensionality of the boarding school is much higher than that in the non-boarding school.The scored is counted reversely.So that means there are fewer conflicts and betrayal behavior in the boarding school.Friendship quality in the boarding school is better than that in the non-boarding school.2.The girls' scores of intimate communication dimensionality of friendship quality in both kinds of schools are better than those of the boys'.The girls' conflicts and betrayal behavior are more than the boys in the non-boarding school.The score is counted reversely.That's to say,the girls have fewer conflicts and less betrayal behavior.3.There are significant differences about the conflicts and betrayal dimensionality in the boarding school.Junior one students' score of conflicts and betrayal dimensionality is obviously higher than that of the Junior three students'.The score is reversely counted.That shows the junior one students have fewer conflicts and less betrayal behavior in the non-boarding school.The score of help and accompanying of the junior one students' is much higher than that of the junior three and junior two students'.About affirmative value dimensionality,the score of junior one students' is higher than that of junior three students.About trust and respect dimensionality,the score of the junior one students' is much higher than that of the junior two and junior three students'.Generally speaking,the scores of junior on students' are obviously higher than those of junior two and junior three students'.4.There are no significant differences of friendship quality between the only child and the non-only child in the boarding and non-boarding schools.5.The whole scores of every dimensionality of friendship quality of the student cadres in the boarding school are higher than those who are not student cadres.In the non-boarding school,the scores of the dimensionalities of help and accompanying,affirmative value,trust and respect and the whole scores of the student cadres are obviously higher than those who are not student cadres.6.There are obvious differences between the conflicts and betrayal dimensionality related to the students' parents' education levels.The students whose parents have only elemental education level or even below level have fewer conflicts and betrayal behavior than those whose parents are with senior high school education level and above level.The students whose parents are with junior school education have got lower score of conflicts and betrayal dimensionality than the students whose parents have senior school education and secondary technical education levels.The students whose parents are with senior school education level have fewer conflicts than less betrayal behavior than those whose parents are with college education level.In the non-boarding school,the difference of conflicts and betrayal dimensionality of the junior students' friendship quality and the whole friendship quality are related to the students' parents' education levels.The students whose parents are with junior school education level have lower score than those whose parents are with senior school education level and secondary technical school education and college education level.The students whose parents are with senior school education and secondary technical education levels have more conflicts and betrayal behavior than those whose parents have post-graduate education.The students whose parents are with post-graduate education level have fewer conflicts and betrayal behavior than those whose parents are with college education level.About the whole score of friendship quality,the students whose parents are with junior school education level have lower scores than those whose parents have senior school education and secondary technical education level.The score of the students whose parents have senior highs school education level and secondary technical education level is higher than those whose parents are with undergraduate education level.The score of the students whose parents are with senior high school education is lower than that of the students whose parents have senior school and secondary technical school education levels.7.The dimensionalities of the positive friendship quality including help and accompanying,trust and respect,affirmative value and intimate communication and the whole friendship quality in both boarding and non-boarding schools have obviously positive correlation with self-efficacy.Friendship quality can explain about 18% aberrance of self-efficacy.In the non-boarding school,friendship quality can explain about 30.8% aberrance of self-efficacy.
