Based on my study of the theory and research concerning learning strategy and its training method for primary school students, this study aims to analyse which training method will have the greatest influence on grade three students in terms of mastering the thorough memorizing strategy. To achieve this, I make an experiment by dividing 150 grade three students into three groups. They receive three different ways of strategy training: utterance, demonstration, and principle plus demonstration.The results are:(1)The efficiency of using strategy after training appears different in that the demonstration method is shown the most efficient for students'mastering strategy.(2)It is shown that boys are better than girls in the speed of mastering and using strategy. The results of four training sessions also indicate that girls are better than boys in marks and there is a remarkable difference in terms of sex. However, there is no such difference in using efficiency and marks.(3)After four training sessions for each method, students'marks are all improved, especially demonstration method proves the best. Yet, there is no connection between three methods and their after training results.(4)Either in students'marks or in the efficiency of using strategy, utterance method is very different from principle plus demonstration method in terms of instantness and continuity, with the former higher than the latter. As for demonstration method, there is no markable difference between instantness and continuity. Yet this method can help improve the duration of strategy as well as the effect of memory.(5)Within each group, there is also a markable difference in efficiency of using strategy. It is proved that the strategy training improves students'mastering in different stages.
