The Study Of Investigation And The Management Of Class-room Discipline In Vocational School

In August 2002, the State Council issued the paper of " The decision of the State Council on making great efforts to push forward the reform and development of vocational education" It is no doubt that it will play an enormous role in promoting and facilitating. However, because of the expansion of senior high schools and other factors, the number of the students has dropped drastically in vocational schools. This makes it hard to teach in class. It is said that the students do not think it happy to study. Meanwhile, the teachers cannot find the joy of teaching in vocational schools. In this paper, the writer made a survey of the teachers' and students' classroom condition in Shanghai Trade School as an example. Through the questionnaire and related theoretical studies, the writer analyzed the causes of students who don't obey the classroom discipline. The results showed that poor-performing classroom discipline is universal in vocational schools. Most of the vocational school students have the following poor-performing classroom discipline. Such as, talking; being sleepy, being lack of concentration; doing homework of other subjects; reading other books; playing with mobile phones, listening to music, playing chess in class. And the writer drew following conclusions,1. Significant differences of students in gender, age and class cadres are found in classroom discipline.2. The more students like the subjects, the better performance of classroom discipline will be.3. Whether the students are aware of the result of disobeying classroom discipline or not has the effect on classroom discipline.4. The degree of family harmony and whether the parents having divorced affect the quality of classroom discipline.5. Teachers' teaching methods and the ability of class teachers also has the influence on the classroom discipline.6. Students' classroom discipline has nothing to do with the economic situation of family.As far as I am concerned, there is an urgent need to pay attention to this issue. And we should seek the solutions to these problems. In the end, the author has made some suggestions to improve classroom discipline.
