The word "Circumstance" may have ameliorative, depreciative or neutral meanings in different contexts. After lots of documents analyzing, it is defined as both existing conditions and psychological feelings which are the results of certain interactive situations; moreover, it often refers to those situations which are not well developed. "Interpersonal Circumstance" mainly refers to those interactive situations and psychological feelings when people communicate with each other, especially happening among the peer group."Interpersonal Circumstance" is based on a focal point which is closely paid attention by many subjects. For example, in the field of pedagogy, growing environment is widely being followed; in psychology, there are researchers focusing their study on interpersonal communication; at the same time, sociologists have paid a lot attention to the functions among the students' peer group. To sum up the achievements concluded from above, there is a conclusion on the key factors about junior high school students' interpersonal circumstance, which are the feeling of security and the sense of belonging. The operational definition of interpersonal circumstance can be divided into four dimensions, which are bullying, being bullying, social anxiety and sense of belonging to class. The thesis is trying to analyze the status of junior high students' interpersonal circumstance by measuring designed scales among students in Xiangshan County, Zhejiang province.The research instruments of this thesis are four scales which are named bullying scale, being-bullied scale, social anxiety scale and sense of class belonging scale. All of the scales come from the scientific research project on "social development about junior high school students". The objects of study are junior one and junior two students in Xiangshan county, Zhejiang province. Combined with the individual and his or her family background, by using SPSS15.0 to analyze the measured results, the thesis is aiming to find the factors influencing interpersonal circumstance and to point out interventions that can better the present situation from the standpoint of both internal cause and external cause.The conclusion of this study is: in general, the present situation of interpersonal circumstance is suitable for school students. However, there are still several characteristics to identify. Firstly, boys are in a worse interpersonal circumstance compared with girls. Secondly, students in junior one are better than those in junior two on interpersonal circumstance. Thirdly, from the standpoint of family social and economic status which is influenced by parents' vacation, educational background and family income, students tends to be in better situation if their parents work in better vacation and have better educational background. Fourthly, the phenomena about bullying and being-bullied do not happen often, however, those students coming from low social and economic status are easy to suffer from bullying and being-bullied no matter it's a boy or a girl, no matter it's a junior one or junior two student. Fifthly, with regard to social anxiety, there is no dramatic gender difference, but it turns out that junior one student are more anxious in social activity compared with junior two students. Lastly, concerning the sense of class belonging, boys are weaker than girls, junior two is weaker than junior one, and students in lower family social and economic status are weaker than those who is in higher family status.In order to improve the present situation of the students in disadvantage, the thesis holds the opinion that schools and their teachers should enhance the outer social support for the students and also teach the students to improve themselves to be qualitative persons at the meantime, it also points out measures to intervene students in disadvantage from the class level.
