| With the development of economic globalization and the prevalence of athletic sports around the world, sports industry is becoming a sunrise industry of 21st century, the development potential of which is immeasurable. At present, sports industry has already become a mainstay in developed countries, the output of which has been in the top ten. China's sports industry begins in 1980s, after the rapid development of 90's, the sports industry has become a new economic growth point of China's national economy in 21st century. The every successful bid for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games provides a distinct opportunity for the development of sports industry. However, on the whole, China's sports industry is still in the initial stage of industrial development, and in the process of development, there are lots of problems, such as the small-scale of sports market, the immaturity of market entities, as well as the shortage of pre-funding and so on. In particular, the shortage of funds has become the bottleneck of development of sports industry.As an innovative financing instrument to develop sports industry, industry investment fund can expand the financing channels and bring in advanced management concepts and methods. At present, the related research literature is also quite limited, and a considerable number of things are still not comprehensive enough. Based on this, by way of systematic analysis of sports industry and industry investment fund, and combined with the practical situation of sports industry, this article formulates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of China's sports industry investment fund, and comprehensively constructs the basic theoretical framework and development mode for sports industry investment fund. The article mainly includes four parts.The first part is an overview of sports industry. This part mainly cleans up the concept and characteristics of China's sports industry, and on the basis of systematic analysis of the development situation of sports industry, the prospects for its development are described. The second part is about the sports industry investment fund. In this part, the theoretical basis and significance of China's sports industry investment fund are principally discussed.By the way of SWOT, the third part primarily demonstrates the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of China's sports industry investment fund.The last part discusses the development mode of China's sports industry investment fund. On the basis of systematic analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, this part builds the basic theoretical framework and development mode for China's sports industry investment fund.
