An Empirical Study On The Sense Of Self-Responsibility Of Contemporary University Students

Since three decades of Reform and Opening-up, China's social life has undergone tremendous changes and people's life standard has improved remarkably.Meanwhile, people's social psychology has also had profound changes, especially university students who were born and grew in the process of Reform and Opening-up are self-confident, enterprising and pursue a valuable life actively.However, because of their life experiences being simple, their psychology and self-awareness being immature, in the face of complex and ever-changing social environment, some university students present some irresponsible problems to themselves, such as to commit suicide, to miss honesty, social morality to decline, the psychological problems to highlight and so on. The missing of university students' sense of self-responsibility has been an obvious problem. If their sense of self-responsibility can't be guided correctly, the serious influence will happen, for example, influencing students' healthy development and cultivation of their sense of social responsibility, influencing the university moral education work as well as the harmonious society's construction.Therefore, the study on the sense of self-responsibility of contemporary university students is especially important and urgent. Being precisely under this background and on the basis of the existing materials, taking Lanzhou University as the investigation example, The author chooses the sense of self-responsibility of contemporary university students as the study topic. The thesis first elaborates the relevant concepts of responsibility and sense of responsibility, then through the questionnaire investigation in Lanzhou University, analyzes the present situation of contemporary university students' sense of self-responsibility and the reasons of its present situation, and at last, probes the countermeasures to strengthen contemporary university students' sense of self-responsibility.
