Twenty-first Century education emphasizes the cultivation of the talents with a sense of responsibility. At present, the sense of responsibility education is being paid attention. Strengthening the responsibility education of the primary school students, not only is the need of a harmonious and moral society construction, but also the need of the development of education in the new century; it is the demand of the physical and mental development of the primary school students.By reading a large number of literatures, this paper designs a responsibility questionnaire to388students in three primary schools in Tianjin city, which contains oneself, family, collective, school and society. Using R statistical software, the results were calculated, and the conclusions are verified and analyzed. The statuses on sense of responsibility of the primary school students are as follows:(1) The level on sense of responsibility of the primary school students is different in gender:girls’ responsibility level is higher than boys’. Girls show higher responsibility for external environment. But for oneself and family, there is no significant difference.(2) Overall, the level on sense of responsibility of the primary school students exists difference in different grades. For others’, collective and social sense of responsibility, it will increase with the grade increasing. But for oneself’s and family’s sense of responsibility, there is no significant difference.(3) There are significant differences in sense of responsibility between the primary school students in urban and rural. In oneself and family sense of responsibility, the sense of responsibility in urban is higher than rural. But for external environment, especially in collective sense of responsibility, students’sense of responsibility in urban and rural has no significant difference.(4) There are significant differences in sense of responsibility between the only-child and non-only-child. Namely:the only-child’s sense of responsibility is higher than the others in all five aspects.This article, by comparing p-values, has tested the difference of the primary school students’responsibility on different sexes, grades, family backgrounds (urban or rural), the only-child or non-only-child, and the results were analyzed and discussed.The responsibility education of the primary school students is a systematic project that needs to cooperate closely on aspects of the school, family, society and others. But school, as the main perpetrators, should strengthen responsibility education for the primary school students.According to the above conclusion, this paper puts forward the following suggestions to promote the sense of responsibility of the primary school students. By choosing the proper education methods, the school education can promote the common developments for boys and girls; According to the different ages of education, the students can get comprehensive developments; By hand in hand activities, the students from different backgrounds can understand each other; By perfecting parents school system, the students can guide the family education for one-child family. This proposal will provide a reference basis for the harmonious and balanced development for the sense of responsibility of the primary school students.
