Study On The Culture Change Of Nanjing Qijiawan Traditional Hui Community

Modernization is the only way for China's economic development. Since the 90's of 20th century, the process of China's urbanization gradually accelerated. Going with the modernization of the city at the same time, Urban Hui communities have to accept the challenges of modernization ,which results in the urban Hui communities' culture change dramatically.The culture change of Hui community, which involves the protection of traditional culture in urban communities,the relation between the culture of urban Hui community and the modernization of city , the modernization of the Hui community itself, as well as cultural heritage and development of the Hui community, has far-reaching impact and great significance.Taking Nanjing Qijiawan Traditional Hui Community as the research object, this paper carries on an investigation in aspects of its culture change , shows different change content on economic activities, marriage family, the relationship between social organization, religious life and so on,then analyses from its stages,reasons, configuration and function.On this basis, the paper expatiates on the apocalypse of solving the problem about modernization of urban Hui community and cultural heritage on Hui community : the existence or extinction - the future of QiJiawan; heritage and development - the only way for the modernization of urban Hui community; paying equal attention to both urbanization and cultural development of the Hui community ; some thinking on cultural heritage of urban Hui community.Hui society's adapting to the surrounding environment and social development result in the culture change of Hui nationality .Going with the urban modernization and the strengthening of national exchanges, the Hui Culture will advance with the times and take new changes. This is the law of cultural development.As a part of Cities communities, the urban Hui community is doomed to suffer the inevitable process of modernization.To choose a suitable way to deal with ,pay attention to the protection of their traditional culture, heritage and development and be seasoned with the trend of times and requirements, it will usher new life.
