Student evaluating is an important part of teaching reform and an important benchmark of measuring student growth.The evaluation system which emphasizes multi-project evaluation,diverse ways,not only concerning about the outcome but also the process does not improve.In the large-scale high-stakes test which is focus on the selection and evaluation of the screening function,performance evaluation,portfolio evaluation and coursework gives way to the test based on knowledge in memory.With the purpose of appending performance and achievements which concerns vital interests of the students to summative evaluation,we choose the British General Certificate of Education A-level Examination.Britain's General Certificate of Education Advanced level examination constantly improves with the times.The given certificates after passing the examination of the test subjects are tickets to the University.The examination has large-scale evaluation of the course work as its important feature.The Center evaluates performance of various types in accordance with the specifications,and then adds the result into the final results as a proper ratio.Britain has established a series of top-down institutions and organizations and developed a supervisory system to protect the smooth implementation of the coursework.The author choose the 2009 examination outline of biology and history in the humanities and social sciences,and analyzes its specific Course evaluation methods steps and procedures in literature and comparative method,including the goals,tasks, the specific details of the evaluation criteria,as well as regulating the monitoring measures.Exotic description of the phenomenon of education is not the purpose of the reachesOn the basis of General Certificate of Education Advanced level examinations historical development,we choose the 2009 examination outline of two subjects in natural science and humanities and social sciences(biology and history),and then we analyze specific evaluative methods,steps and procedures in coursework including the goals,tasks,the specific details of the evaluation criteria and monitoring measures.We induce the characteristics and flaws of the coursework.Exotic description of the phenomenon of education is not the purpose of comparative education.We get the law and experience behind the success and put them into our evaluation and assessment in a similar situation.We put forward constructive advice about the valuator,procedures and supervision system to improve China's college entrance examination system.Firstly,we should set up versatile valuator which contains the teachers,student and their parents and play the role of internal valuator.Secondly,we must pay attention to versatile interest and skill in students'life.Thirdly,the country and government have the duty to enhance teachers'ability of evaluating and to issue a criterion.Finally,the society should establish the monitor with complete independence in order to avoiding the malpractice.
