This paper focuses on the research on the teaching and examination mode of A-Level Fine Arts in Cambridge Assessment International Education Course,aiming at promoting the internationalization of fine arts education and exploring the diversified development paths of art.A-level fine arts and design courses are recognized internationally for their high-quality professional learning process and strict examination mode,and the academic achievements reflected by their credits have become the choice of many art candidates who eager to further their study abroad.In recent years,more and more schools in China have started to offer this international course,and many public schools have joined in.Cambridge Assessment International Education(CAIE)provides powerful teaching resources and teacher training for different stages of the tests.IGCSE and A Level Art and Design course aims in teaching the 21 st century art talents their required quality as a starting point,to determine the confidence,responsibility,reflection,innovation and,which are the five traits on the basis of the syllabus and assessment standard.These instructional design concepts are of great guiding significance to art teaching in China.This paper is based on the courses and questions given by A Level Art and Design course of Cambridge Assessment International Education in the UK.These questions are selected from the exam questions of 2017 to 2018 and some of the candidates' works.Using the theories of fine arts and design and pedagogy,and on the basis of the test questions prescribed by CAIE and other examination institutions.This paper makes an in-depth analysis and research on the overall teaching objectives,assessment methods,test forms and case studies of A Level Art and Design Examinations.This paper consists of an introduction and a text.The introduction describes the purpose and significance of the research,the research methods,innovation and status in China and abroad.The text is divided into five parts.The first part is a brief overview of CAIE.The second part introduces the basic information of A Level Art and Design Examination in detail,including the purpose of the examination outline,evaluation objectives and contents,syllabus setting,curriculum contents and evaluation standards,etc.The third part gives examples of the real questions in the 2016-2018 A Level Art and design examination,and presents the cases of art students' A Level examination works in 2017-2018.The fourth part summarizes theenlightenment of A Level Art and Design examination in Britain to the college entrance examination of fine arts in China.The A Level Art and Design Examination conducted by the British CAIE examination board has greatly improved Chinese students' abilities of observation and recording,imagination,criticism and analysis,systematic identification,research and evaluation of problems,etc.,and has been flexible in terms of examination contents and works' performance,which is worthy of our learning and reference.The purpose of this thesis is to rich the domestic art teaching and examination mode and to provide more samples for reference.We are aiming to teach fine arts education with an open mind,to make the world of advanced art education teaching conduct extensive exchanges,to keep our national traditional art quality,and to expand international vision on the basis of dialogue with the world's high quality art education and cultivate our local art learners.
