The serious imbalance between urban and rural social development, affecting our country's modernization process, one of the education gap between urban and rural society in particular is concerned about the problem. High school students in the peak period of growth and development, this period, regular physical activity participation would enable them to lay a good foundation of the constitution, while at the same time to further promote their socialization. However, in 2005 carried out in accordance with the Fifth National Students Health findings also show that the level of students in vital capacity, physical quality has continued to drop. The proportion of overweight and obesity rapidly rising non-performing high rate of visual acuity, student's health there is a worrying problem.Fair and equitable education are the cornerstone of society, urban and rural students should enjoy equal access to education, but a long time, urban high school students to enjoy high-quality teaching resources, rural education has been increasingly marginalized, which is bound to bring urban and rural high school to participate in after-school sports exercise great differences. Therefore, this integrated use of literature, questionnaire method, mathematical statistics, such as scientific research methods, some areas of urban and rural areas of Henan Province high school students to participate in after-school physical activity to carry out investigation and analysis, trying to find high school students in urban and rural areas to participate in physical activity after school, what are the differences and to explore its causes, to the balanced development of education in urban and rural areas of Henan Province to provide meaningful recommendations.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1. Henan Province, the overall urban and rural high school students in some areas there are 92.97 percent of school students to participate in after-school physical activity, but most students passive participation; there are 72.99% of the students to participate in a free and independent of physical activity after school, students participate more actively than good; from the whole urban and rural areas is still low-frequency, short training time, exercise is not high, the content of training was a trend of diversified development, training or the location of the main venues in schools, the consumption structure of the principal is also the main kind of consumption relatively low level.2. Henan Province, some parts of urban and rural high school students to participate in school extra-curricular physical activity of a comparative analysis of results are as follows: in the forms of participation, attitudes, interests, average duration of participation in training, the average duration of each exercise to participate in training to take part in the location of no difference; involved in the project but there are differences in the average city high school township high school more than 1.68; to participate in the frequency of significant differences, urban high school students to participate in significantly higher frequency; the participation of the existence of organizational form significant difference, urban high school students average more than the township high school students 1.04. In general, urban high school students after school to participate in school sports organizations, the situation is better than in the township high school.3. Henan Province, some parts of urban and rural high school students to participate in a free and independent comparative analysis of after-school physical activity was as follows: participation in the attitude, interest, with an average duration of participation in training, the average duration of each exercise to participate in training there is no difference; participation means there are significant differences, urban students to participate more actively; in participating in different projects, urban high school students average more than the township high school students 0.92; the frequency of significant differences, urban high school students to participate in the frequency of apparent higher than the township high school students; organizational form of differences in the average city high school township high school more than 0.74; in participating in the different locations, urban high school students to participate in off-campus after-school physical activity facilities than the township more than a high school student. In general, urban high school students to participate in a free and independent of the status of physical activity after school, better than high school students in the township.4. Henan Province, some parts of urban and rural high school students participating in extra-curricular physical exercise motives differ, the wider motives of urban students; urban and rural high school students participating in after-school physical activity on health habits, there was a significant difference, urban high school students exercise significantly better health habits of high school students in the township; to participate in after-school physical activity in the consumer, there are significant differences in the amount of urban high school students spent an average high school students was significantly higher than the township, the consumption structure of urban high school students are more reasonable.5. High school students in urban and rural areas in some areas of Henan Province to participate in after-school physical activity was mainly due to differences in their social environment, the influence of major urban and rural high school students through participation in after-school physical activity to achieve the effects of factors.6. Henan Province, some parts of urban and rural differences in social factors significantly sports, urban high school psychological environment of sports, sports, physical environment, family sports environment in the township high school students significantly better. Factors in urban and rural school sports, sports, the status of implementation of laws and regulations, and the per capita funding for sports, school sports leadership attitude, physical education, school sports atmosphere, there are differences of equipment, urban high school is better than the township high school, but in after-school sports administration does not exist differences. Students in their own factors of urban and rural high school students after school hours there is no difference; sports values, urban high school students more extensive and increased social value; in sports knowledge, there are differences in motor skills, urban high school students significantly better than the township. Suggestions: 1. Henan Province, some areas of urban and rural high school students to participate in after-school physical activity, it is necessary to pay attention to cultivating students interested in sports and sports the ability to form correct values of PE, physical activity and consciously cultivate the habit of laying a foundation for lifelong PE.2. Henan Province, some areas in the new rural construction, education policy to tilt up to improve the quality of teachers in rural areas, especially the level of PE teacher; on investment in education to rural tilt to improve the hardware environment in rural schools, especially to strengthen the building of sports facilities .3. Take full advantage of the advantages of natural resources in rural areas to carry out some of the rural characteristics of after-school sports activities, and guide the healthy growth of the township high school Health; take full advantage of a wealth of sports facilities in the city, the urban high school students for after-school physical activity to a new level, to enrich students after-school life.
