During the reform of scientific education,especially with the development of Quality Education,Inquiry-based teaching method has become one of the hottest topics in the exploration of teaching methods.The physical experiment is the course of discovery and a way of knowing and understanding the world.According to Inquiry-based teaching theory of high school physical experiments,students do the physical experiments independently with the help of the teacher.The students will become the explorer of knowledge.Inquiry-based teaching method is based on John Dewey's pragmatism teaching theory,J.S.Bruner's discovery learning theory,the learning theory of constructivism.The purpose of my research is to change the students' habit of doing physical experiments,increase their interest,improve their experimental and exploratory ability,train students' collective consciousness and spirit of cooperation.In a word,it's to improve students' scientific quality.My paper focuses on the basic elements of Inquiry-based teaching theory.My paper consists of three parts.Part one is about the investigation of students at the beginning of the activity,Part two my teaching practice of this theory and Part three the investigation of the theory's effect.The results of this experiment are as follows:1.To change students' bad habit when they do experiments.2.Raise students' interests.3.Improve students' practical ability.4.Develop students' sense of team work spirit and cooperation.
