Experimental Research On Inquiry Teaching Method In High School Physical Education Class

Inquiry teaching refers to the method used when teachers only provide students with some examples and questions,which would lead students to do research independently.They can explore via reading,observing,doing experiments,thinking,discussing and listening to lectures,to find and master the corresponding principles and conclusions on their own.Elementary education is basic for the cultivation of talents.The old teaching models can no longer meet the new needs for education.Therefore,new teaching models are increasingly adopted for use.Inquiry teaching is applied to PE courses to establish a new relationship between teachers and learners,and bring vigor to the class.Students are fully motivated to take part in the learning process,which makes PE courses in secondary schools more productive.This paper focuses on the application of inquiry teaching to PE courses in secondary schools.The teaching experiments are evaluated with different methods,which include literature review,questionnaire survey,experimentation,mathematical statics method,and logical analysis,etc.And it is proved to be an effective teaching method.The reasons are listed as follows:(1)The application of inquiry teaching to PE courses in secondary school improves students' physical conditions by having them better involved in sports.(2)The application of inquiry teaching to PE courses in secondary school enables students to understand the theories and grasp the keys of the movements better.(3)The application of inquiry teaching to PE courses in secondary school makes it easier for students to grasp the keys of the movements by practicing them.(4)The application of inquiry teaching to PE courses in secondary school arouses students' interests in PE classes.(5)The application of inquiry teaching to PE courses in secondary school makes students better team players,and they have more chances to communicate and discuss with each other and learn how to think independently and work as a team.(6)The application of inquiry teaching to PE courses in secondary school helps to build up students' confidence with their PE classes,and makes them love sports better,and cultivates their awareness of doing regular and life-time sports.
