Ren Hongjun is China's modern chemist and educator.In his early years,he went to Japan for chemistry study in order to make bomb for our country,which showed his feelings of patriotism.Later,he went to study in the United States,where he saw the material conditions of the developed West and superior system of a democratic society.So he began to reflect on the reasons.He directed problems and studied China's non-scientific reasons;since then he had been committed to China's science and science education.He thought that our country was mainly the lack of proper scientific methods because of China's 12 thousand years of feudal society which was predominantly text learning.There was no science based inductive method.In addition to the correct scientific method, scientific researchers also must have spirit of truth-seeking and be not afraid of any difficulties.In addition,he also advocated of science and education,and promoted scientific education serving for modern social production and living.Compared with the previous,he paid more attention to the development of scientific spirit and the use of scientific methods,which played a crucial role in the forming process of modern science education ideas in China.And then Science and Metaphysics fierce debate broke out,all kinds of ideas affronted each other.He linked scientology to the Metaphysical far-sighted and defined the concept of science,and further demonstrated the central role and significance of the scientific method and scientific spirit for the scientific development. This paper is divided into four parts.First,this study is to introduce theoretical and practical significance and literature review.Second,this study is to introduce his scientific and education career,including a wide range of academic interest,as well as achievements in the field of sociology and education.Third,in the larger environment of Science and Metaphysics debate,this study is to sort out and explain his scientific thinking and academic sources based on his book Dream of scientific Salvation and focuses on the scientific,scientific approaches,scientific spirit, as well as the impact of science education.Fourth,this study is to discuss the impact and significance for education from the three aspects of scientific thinking,and inspiration for current Education.
