The information literacy was proposed most early by the US Information industries Association President Paul Zurkowski in 1974 for the US the Library and the information science National commission in the report for the first time. The information literacy in overseas already maturely developed,the information literacy education has become the university education for all-around development the organic composition part. But in our country,the information literacy's research only then just started. This research takes the object of study by the graduate student,the reason chooses the graduate student to take the object of study,is decides by its particularity. The traditional ideas believed that the postgraduate education is the typical professional education , along with society's development and the education internationalization demand,the industrial structure and structure of employment's unceasing change,the various trades and occupations needs to have the graduate student school record top level talented person. Diversifies day by day to graduate student's request, not only needs to train the university teachers and the scientific researchers,moreover needs the massive high-level managerial talent and each kind of emerging specialized application talented person,therefore,creation ability is the postgraduate education main body.This article through methods and so on literature analysis, questionnaire survey gained the su zhou school in the school graduate student's information literacy present situation. Using the SPSS13.0 statistics software analysis obtained data, the main discovery is as follows:(1)the object of study thought generally the gain information and in studies and in the topic research using the information is important. Strengthens the graduate student information literacy the raise to be important. (2)the information literacy divides into the information consciousness,information ability,the information knowledge,the information morals four dimensions,these four aspects are the information literacy essential constituents.(3)in influence information literacy background variable,student's sex,grade, English proficiency,article science subjects,whether the article does publish with whether to have studied literature search class these six aspects to the information literacy influence existence significance.(4)discovered in various stratification planes difference analysis that object of study's information consciousness,information ability,the information morals need to strengthen. Discovered that the information consciousness is light;Only pauses to the information operation ability in the simple literature search aspect;To information ethics morals aspects and so on operating condition,to intellectual property rights is very defective.(5)strengthens the subject talks using the Electronic library,raises the information consciousness , to strengthen the information ability , to increase the information knowledge,the strengthened information morals. Introduces the Big6 skill,the conformity information technology and the discipline curriculum,fundamentally guarantees to the information literacy raise.
