Now another new course reform of elementary education in China pays more attention to the teachers' professional development.And it offers a good chance for the teachers to practice.As a main part of new course reforms,teachers should try their best to achieve their individual professional development.By doing the narrative research on a middle school music teacher in the growth of the new course,and found that the favorable factors of impacting the individual professional development of teachers include:the fine personality quality, the strong consciousness of the individual professional development and definite developing target,as well as the internal factors as self-study,practice and innovation in the new course,and be good at self-reflection to provide power for it.Moreover the external factors as new course,school, teaching and research personnel and peers provide strong guarantee.The new course offers opportunities for teachers to carry out teaching reform,professional research and develop curriculum resources independently,the support and assistance of school,teaching and research personnel and peers is helpful to teacher's development.In order to realize development in the new course,teachers should not only strengthen the consciousness of the individual professional development of teachers,draw up self-development planning,active study and continuous self-updating,even practice and reflection,to be teaching-study researchers, constructers and developers,but also the result of several factors interaction like educational management sectors, school and individual.Therefore,it should pay more attention to the individual professional development of teachers, establish the insurance system,and provide the good outside condition and support.The universities should help and guide teachers to achieve their individual professional development. Education management department should reform the training of teachers and give them more freedom to choose.
