The Research On The Correlation Between Biographical Characteristics Of Top Strategic Management Team Of Chinese University And Strategic Performance

With the changes of internal and external environment, universities of China will be faced with more complex management problems. At present, the strategic management of universities comes forth two pairs of contradictions: one is that the contradiction between the complexity of the strategic management of universities and individual capacity; another contradiction between the continuous concept of universities and the power of the leaders of universities. The way of management team can overcome bad effects which are aroused by decision-making of universities both the blind spot on personal understanding and the limited sense. Therefore, the top managers of universities should also learn from management theory about the management team and experience to manage universities. The strategic management theory of domestic and foreign enterprises and the management practice of companies indicate that they have a certain relationship between the biographical characteristics of top management team and strategic performance of companies. Well, do they have a certain relationship between the two, what kind of relationship? In order to improve the strategic performance of universities, what kinds of the leaders of universities need to manage our schools?
