Strategic Management Research Of Shangqiu Normal University

With the changing of higher education from elite to popular and with the changing of China from bigeducation country to developed education country, colleges and universities are faced with new importantopportunities and challenges. How to grasp the opportunities and respond to the challenges is the firstquestion for every college and university. Shangqiu Normal University is one of the colleges anduniversities in China, and it has the commonness and individuality. It should be concerned its individuality,provincial, local and normal, especially. This article applies the theory of Strategic Management which isdeveloped in business management to the development of Shangqiu Normal University.Strategic Management appeared in military field originally, and then was applied to businessmanagement. It has promoted the development of the enterprise. So, many fields start to research StrategicManagement and combined it with the field. The theory was applied to education field in America andBritain firstly and it won achievement. Because of the institutions, the theory was introduced into Chinaapplied very late. But with the further development of Reform and Open Policy, Strategic Management wasapplied in China Education more and more.This article is the research by taking Shangqiu Normal University as the case, and this is the firstresearch on Shangqiu Normal University. And it is the analysis of macroscopically and microcosmicfactors for the University, and it uses the analysis model to decide its position and develop priority.
