As staff's basic vocational quality,vocational interests,vocational abilities,vocational values and personality, not only reflect the individual vocational preferences,related knowledge level, experiences, skills, health status,but also have significant effect on work behavior and performance.The study on the relationship between vocational values,vocational abilities,personality and vocational interests,may reveal the individual latent expectation of the occupation and its type. Thus it enhances the staff to be engaged to match their occupation, prevents work burnout, cuts turnover rate and improves work performance. This is of great significance to the selection of organizational talent and individual career development.The reasearch on the relationship between personality and interest is not deficient,but the conclusions are inconsistent. The majority of domestic scholars do not further study the predictive validity of vocational abilities and vocational values for different vocational interests. The purpose of this study is to verify the predictive validity of vocational abilities, vocational values and personality traits on vocational interests.By way of on-line assessment, this paper uses 4 mature scales, that is,Work Values Scale,Vocational Abilities Scale,Occupational Interest Inventory Kurdish (KOIS) and cattell's 16 Personality Factor Questionnaire (16PF), and adopts 289 samples of two manufacturing companies,one R&D company and a safety technology company to research the effects of vocational values,vocational abilities, personality and their interaction on vocational interests.At first,this paper explores individual vocational quality difference of different demographic characteristic,through the collation and analysis of questionnaire data.Afterward it discusses the co-relation among vocational interests,vocational values,vocational abilities and personality,and carry on dimensionality reduction treatment of the vocational quality,according to the sample characteristic and the Prediger dimensional model and the Holland hexagonal model's uniform deduction. It defines two kind of vocational interests,that is the thing (Thing) and the human affairs (People),three kinds of vocational abilities,that is specialized ability,sociability and adaptiveness, learning and innovation ability,and five kinds of vocational values,that is economic returns, interpersonal relationship, working condition, self-development, status symbol.Finally,it analyzes influence of the vocational values,vocational abilities and personality to vocational interests.The result reveals that self-development,introversion and extroversion, emotionalism and tough poise or alertness have remarkable influence on thing (Thing) interest.The economic returns, interpersonal relationship,status symbol,working condition,management capacity,sociability and adaptiveness,introversion and extroversion, emotionalism and tough poise or alertness have remarkable influence on human affairs (People) interest.The interaction of economic returns and management capacity, economic returns and sociability and adaptiveness, interpersonal relationship and management capacity,status symbol and management capacity remarkably influence human affairs (People) interest.Finally, in view of chinese cultural background,this paper combines the findings and the practice, analyses each kind of objective environment,and put forward the proposal on labor force employment and enterprise recruitment,but also the limitations of this study are discussed.
