The Study On The Social Capital Of NGO In The Field Of AIDS Prevention And Control

With the high prevalence of the AIDS epidemic in some areas and specific group of people,the apparent increase of the infected persons,NGO is playing an increasingly important role in the process of AIDS prevention and control.But at the same time,there are many factors that hinder the development and survival of NGO in the field of AIDS prevention and control.So the great advantage of the participation of NGO in the field of AIDS prevention and control in our country is still far from being activated.The main reason is that the stock of social capital of organizations are not enough.How to build the social capital of NGO in the existing environment leads to my thinking.In this paper, the author takes the example of NGO in the field of AIDS prevention,describes the social capital of NGO,analyses the advantages and difficulties which NGO encountered,and then puts forward the ideas how to build social capital NGO. In particular,the article is divided into five sections.The first part is Introduction.This article introduces the origin and significance of the study;followed by grooming the study the study related to the social capital at home and abroad;then introduces the situation of domestic NGO AIDS Research;finally,puts forward the research method of this article,and defines the important concept in the study.The second part is the status of social capital of NGO in the field of AIDS prevention and control,first the author describes the basic situation of the selected cases, and then from two aspects of the internal and external social capital,analyse the social capital of cases.The analysis of internal social capital includes three aspects:the basic situation of the core members of the organization,the organization's trust and norms,the main activities of organizations.The analysis of external social capital includes three aspects:the relationship between organizations and the government,the relationship between organizations donors,the relationship between organizations and other NGO.The third part is the advantages and difficulties of NGO access to social capital.In this section,the author summarizes the advantages of NGO from the case,including the support from government,the social legitimacy of organization,the effort of the sponsors and the dedication of volunteers.The difficulties of NGO access to social capital includes is the inadequate of volunteer management mechanism,the loss of legal legitimacy of NGO,and the lack of social charitable donations.The fourth part of the field is how to build social capital of NGO.In this paper,the idea involves four aspects:the establishment of trust relationships is the base of building social capital;effective development and management the volunteer is an important support of building social capital;adjust the management system and strengthen the rule of law is tissue protection system of building social capital;actively foster the public spirit is the cultural base of building social capital.
