The modern distance education project in rural middle and primary schools is the biggest elementary education informational universal project and the important measure to narrow the gap between the east and west regions and to promote balanced development of the city and countryside education.The thesis consists of five parts, it is next.Part One: Introduction, including research background, current research state, purpose and significancePart Two: Analysis of the current state of the middle school distance education project in Huanggang city. It introduces the investment on project facilities and application of the new teaching mode. Basing on some of the project schools as examples, it gives analysis on the application of the three hardware mode in rural primary and middle schools and on the relevant teaching job of teachers, besides, it points out problems existing in the project schools.Part Three: Design of an efficient teaching mode. Basing on the existing rural distance teaching mode, a new efficient teaching mode which integrates the advantages of the current teaching modes is to be designed. This new teaching mode corresponds with the three hardware modes in the current rural distance education project. Basing on theoretic analysis and filed-work research, it points out several factors that influence the teaching efficiency, and discusses the middle school teaching application of the three hardware modes in Huanggang city. Finally, a feasible teaching mode coming out of thethree hardware modes is to be concluded.Part Four: Field-work research of the rural distance teaching mode. Three schools are chosen from Huanggang city, of which the English class teaching modes are to be compared with that of Huanggang Middle School. After conducting a series of works, for example, specific teaching activities are conducted according to the new rural distance teaching mode, records of each activity test are kept, and differences between the case study schools and Huanggang Middle School are examined to evaluate the new teaching mode, it is proved that the new rural distance teaching mode is feasible and efficient.Part Five: Conclusion. Research conclusions, breakthroughs, problem and disadvantage of the current researchA specific case study is conducted under the guidance of the teaching appraisal scheme which is designed according to the rural distance education environment. Through analyzing and summarizing the case study results, it is aimed to study how the abovementioned three technical modes are accepted in rural schools, and to conclude a method by which the teaching efficiency of the rural distance education classes can be enhanced.
