Analysis On The Present Situation And Issue Reflection Of Qualitative Method On Textbook Research

In recent years, qualitative research as an important method has been taken more attention than before in our country. Looking at the textbook studies in present situation at home and abroad, analysis on the present situation and issue reflection of qualitative method on textbook research, which few people involved in this issue. In particular, from a methodological point of view, qualitative method is better for textbook research than other methods, which has important practical significance and theoretical value.Qualitative research has been applied to refer to textbooks, the researchers through interviews with the authors of the textbooks, textbooks users (teachers, students, etc.), through observation of classroom activities and other activities, use text analysis, in-depth understanding of the basic ideas of textbooks, the implementation of those concept and ideas, thereby deepening the study of textbooks.In this paper, we use the methods of literature, content analysis, questionnaire, interview, study the basic characteristics of qualitative research methods on textbook research,the domestic textbooks qualitative research methods in the current situation and main problems, as well as through typical case study to find the use of qualitative methods analysis, aim at find the qualitative methods and the implementation of a number of characteristics.Study shows that:(1)Different of qualitative research methods in general education, the textbooks of qualitative research pay more emphasis on mainly use of qualitative methods and integrated use of other methodsFirstly, the study of some of the textbooks must be used qualitative research methods, but not all of the content are suitable for use the qualitative methods; Secondly, the use of qualitative methods to study, need to make a corresponding textbook standards, the corresponding the research process, to avoid arbitrariness, classroom observations and interviews which focused approach are usually be taken; Finally, the quality of the textbook description of the results of the study, the best model is the "mainly qualitative, integrated others".(2)Qualitative research methods textbooks need to standardizeQualitative methods in resent textbooks research lack of standardized; and textbook study of the use of qualitative methods, whitch can form a relatively complete study norm.Through the textbooks research in resent years, to quantify the statistics (from the study's theme, methods, subjects, age, stages of learning) and a typical case analysis, we found the current qualitative research in textbook has the following characteristics:Firstly, qualitative research in textbook typically use text analysis and qualitative methods together, especially in static of the textbook study; Secondly, the textbook of qualitative research has advantages such as explanation, profound and direct, and so on. However, due to the use of qualitative method limitations, qualitative research method on textbook has one-sidedness, research to promote the drawbacks is poor; Thirdly, the qualitative method is suitable for dynamic studies textbooks, but also for static studies; Fourthly, method of qualitative research in the use of textbooks in general contains (to identify targets a preliminary qualitative research; qualitative research process, namely data collection; interpretation of the process of analyzing the data; concluded; qualitative interpretation, recommendations and suggestions) five steps; Finally, the textbook specific qualitative research methods, lack of norms, still need further refinement.(3)The ideal state of qualitative research method on textbook may be come tureFrom the ideal state of qualitative research method on textbook has four basic characteristics: Firstly, researchers need to have a keen sense of observation and can focus on specific issues of textbooks, according to the actual study to make timely judgments. Secondly, with regard to data collection and analysis, most cases can not be repetitive. Thirdly, proper use of audio, video equipment, aids can greatly enhance the effectiveness of research; finally, the results of the study dealt need comprehensive use other methods, "mainly qualitative, integrated others" is a desirable model.In order to further improve and develop our existing qualitative research methods on textbook, we make the following recommendations:Firstly, standard qualitative research on textbook, especially the interviews and the use of classroom observation; establish the system of qualitative research on textbook;Secondly, continuously improve the quality of the researchers. Either do a lower level of qualitative research or a higher level of qualitative research, researchers are required understand of themselves, interpretation the collected information and so on. In order to obtain high-quality research on textbook, researchers need to improve their own enthusiasm of the study of textbooks and research capacity.Finally, to help primary and secondary school teachers establish a textbook study process, such as the general standards and the basic steps of the method. Primary and secondary school teachers are one of the main groups of textbook researchers. Make more of those teachers understanding the relative system of qualitative research on textbook, and learn how to use convenient and operation simple method, is better to improve the quality of research in the effectiveness of textbook research.
