With the new curriculum reform of high school in the country like a raging fire, it is very important to pay enough attention to the course structure of teaching materials. This paper attempts to use the method of content analysis, to the required high school geography for example, analysis and comparison of four versions of the textbook of high school geography.First, formulating the category according to the content analysis method, and determines the unit of each category of-variables. Category Ⅰ content of materials:core concepts, and the standard degree of correspondence, material aging;category Ⅱ structure: the column, organizational structure;category Ⅲ case and activities:the quantity, type; category IV graphic system:the number and category, image density and large rate.First, formulating the category according to the content analysis method, and determines the unit of each category of variables. Statistical methods of analysis method in accordance with the requirements of the content, quantity, a detailed record of each data source. Get all the data, tables, charts.According to the table, chart, analyzes each variable. Category Ⅰ:core concepts in each edition of the textbooks concise; and the difference between standard degree of correspondence; focus on the timeliness of materials; category Ⅱ:columns vary; organization structure based on linear structure; category Ⅲ:case number, but the type of focus have different characteristics; category IV:pay attention to the number of images, mainly to the landscape map; image density and large rate;Based on variable analysis, the comprehensive assessment of the characteristics of materials, and thus the conclusion.The four edition features.
