Research On Free Normal Education

At the end of the century, the outstanding students who candidates the teacher education have begun to decrease from be charged; Normal institutions take off "hat" lead to the weakening of teacher education, whether from students or from the training model are hampered high-quality teachers training. The reality contract to the masses'desire of "on learning",the policy of free education attract the best graduates of teacher candidates from the source,and,further more,construct a great atmosphere of respect teachers in the whole society ,so that the teachers will become the most respected professional; in order to foster a large number of outstanding teachers, encourage more young people to be good educators for life .In this study, we research the free education through questionnaires, in-depth interview in two universities each from the East region and the Northeast region of China. The research contains free admission, training and employment problems of the normal students. And we give some solutions: First of all, by the guide of the government policy to enhance the professional status of teachers which can attract talented students, at the same time, increase the comprehensive interviews to inspect their capacity,ensure that the best potential teachers entering learning institutions, in addition,the diversification of fee-charging system lead to the diversity of students. Secondly, pay attentions to the breadth and depth of training curriculums, and establish the appropriate mechanisms to stimulate the internal driving force for normal students, at the same time establish their career beliefs. Finally, in the employment, contract system which can clear the responsibilities and obligations of both parties, at the same time improve the conditions for the grass-roots level and establish an incentive mechanism to encourage the graduates devote themselves to the central and western rural areas.
