Economy-oriented as nowadays society is, according to the law of the supply and demand, the quantity and quality of the talents who receive higher education will largely depend on the supply and demand of the talents market. Therefore, whether the physical culture and sports personnel, regarded as products output from the higher schools to society, meets the needs of society shall lie in society as well as the higher school itself. As a result of that, the employment situation in recent years undoubtedly has drawn our attention, for the postgraduates under the elite education are confronted the embarrassment that they have to grab the position vacancies with the undergraduates. What's worse, they fail to succeed, challenged by the undergraduates, even by the junior college graduates. Admittedly, great progress, covering the education system, standard, pattern and method for the postgraduates in Physical Education, which is attributed to the cause of China's P.E. has been made since 1981 when the academic degree system was introduced in our country. However, due to further continuation and deepening of the policy of reform and opening up in China, the fast development of modern science and technologies has pushed forward the deeper research for the traditional fields. Besides, the impenetration and integration within the subjects has accelerated the course of interdiscipline while the socialism market economy has been established and developed. Those pose new requirement for the high-level talents in P.E. As a matter of fact, any specialist who only has a command of one filed is yet to satisfy the needs of economic development of society, compared with the compound specialists. Hence, it is of great importance to educate the high-level compound specialists who show their distinctive development, based on the combination between the needs of society and the personal development of the trainee. Postgraduate in theory of Sports Pedagogy and Training as I am, I have a clear idea that the postgraduates in present situation could not adjust to the development speed of Shanghai and could not meet the needs its P.E. cause. That reminds us that it is necessary to raise the question for the cultivation of the postgraduate in theory of Sports Pedagogy and Training in Shanghai once more. This essay aims at probing into the research analysis of the related questions in setting of the courses of theory of Sports Pedagogy and Training, analyzing the existed problems in this course in Shanghai's higher schools, and digging out the reason and then providing the solutions to them, through archives, data, questionnaire, interviews and mathematical statistics.
