| Postgraduate education is the higher level education in our country,along with thepopularization of higher education, the graduate student’s scale increase.Postgraduate ofsports science is an important part in our country, since the academic degree system wasintroduced in1981, under the background of great development, the postgraduate’s scaleand number is growing, cultivated a large number sports teachers and professionals for ourcountry, had made great contributions for our country. With the graduate student enrollmentspeeding, graduate education is faced with both opportunities and challenges, on one hand,with the postgraduate popularization of higher education in our country, how to ensure thequality of graduate student education of sports science; on the other hand, how to fullemployment, serve the community and school.Shandong is one of the largest economic, technology and education province in ourcountry, is also a larger postgraduate education province, since1984began to recruit masterdegree student of sports science, it has been29years, has trained more than1300masterdegree students of sports science, cultivate a large number sports talents. With the scaleincreasing, how to perfect the admissions and cultivation mechanism, deeping the sportsteaching reform and development of graduate education improve the quality of postgraduateeducation of sports science, has become the key to the healthy development.In this paper, using the literature material, questionnaire survey,field survey, interview,and so on. Researsh the recruitment, training and employment status, analysis presentsituation and the existing problems, and put forward suggestions, hoping to romote reformand development of the graduate student to provide theoretical reference for graduatestudent, provide beneficial guidance to improve their own quality.This study based on the analysis about the present situation of education, through thebasic train of thought, the following conclusions: 1. In recent years, the recruitment of students scale is stable, but there were significantdifferences between each college, showing a certain imbalance. At the same time, the sportsof humanities and sociology, physical education and the traditional sports professional inour province shows the characteristics of hysteresis, unbalance, etc.2. The direction of the research have in common, it is good for interaction betweendifferent schools, but lack of flexibility and characteristic, cultivation type cannot reflect theprominent characteristics of universities.3. The postgraduate course lack advanced and innovative content, curriculum structure,unreasonable proportion of courses, credits and school settings, compulsory courses andelective courses set of optional the gender is strong, the lack of standardization, theproportion of the solid.4. Master graduate student learning duration of elastic design is not enough, someoutstanding students may be in a very short time to complete tasks, three years conducive toplay enthusiasm for good students, advocate should be encouraged to apply for graduationin advance, for lack of learning ability students to appropriately fixed number of year.5. Students participate in academic exchanges, subject research, scientific researchopportunities in practice is less, didn’t get good exercise during the period of schoolscientific research ability, independent scientific research ability is poorer. Is common in thedissertation topic, difficult to make the selected topic Angle, lack of theoretical foundation,the part of the dissertation selected the topic and doesn’t accord with your major.6. Our province sports school graduate student tutor’s title, education and scientificresearch is not enough reasonable, less highly educated talents.7.
