Scientific method is a way to make science. Scientific method is a noticeable focus in science curriculum reform at present. The curriculum syllabus is the creed of curriculum reform. In recent chemistry curriculum syllabus, the importance of the education about scientific method was emphasized. Textbook is the core data in curriculum which plays an important role in curriculum reform. It is the necessary step that presents scientific method in textbook. This thesis mainly uses the research method of theoretical and data analysis to compare the trait embody in curriculum syllabus and textbooks.The thesis is composed of three parts:First part is research background. This part includes bring forward the issue, the meaning of the research, the summarize of the literature and the theory basis of the thesis.Second part is the compare research of the scientific method in chemical curriculum. This part is the main body in this thesis and consists of two portions. Firstly, the domestic textbooks in different age are compared to find the different character in scientific method. It is considered that the scientific method in different age textbook contains some characters by using the research method of statistical measure. The characters include the express way of scientific method has been transferred from connotative to obvious, scientific method incline to combine science explore process and so on. It is considered the change of the textbook function and the recognition to scientific literacy and so on are the main reasons towards the characters. The second portion is the multinational research of the scientific method in textbooks. This thesis chose the senior middle school chemistry textbook in shanghai and chemistry-concept and application which is one of the textbooks in America to compare. The thesis compared the textbooks of shanghai and America then got the differences and sameness in the two textbooks. It is considered that the two textbooks have some comparability about content arrange of scientific method and both the two textbooks emphasize the manage the scientific method synthetically. There are distinct differences about the number and the depth of the scientific method.The final part is the conclusion and apocalypse. In this part, the thesis summarize the conclusions then gives some advancement to compile the textbook.
