Nowadays, curriculum integration is becoming one of the hot topics of curriculum reform. The geography subject plays an irreplaceable role in raising students' synthesizing capacity because of its comprehensive discipline nature. We always have the tradition of "learn history and geography together", and what is the new meaning of it? How should we understand it in order to show it? This article which based on the idiographic geography teaching quests for the way of how to pervade the historical thought in the geography teaching in the purpose of giving a reference of the knowledge integration in geography discipline.There are three parts in this article.The 1st part is the introduction. The reason of why choosing the topic of using historical thinking to explore the meaning of "learn history and geography together" is told in this part. And the problem of how to define the historical thinking is also included.The 2nd part is the main body of the article. Firstly, the significance of infiltrating historical thinking into geography instruction was analyzed from the views of technology development, cognitive development of the student, and the target of geography teaching. Then, based on the connection of history and geography, the content of how to infiltrate was analyzed. Finally, some concretes methods are given in combination of geography curriculum standards, teaching materials and classroom teaching.The 3rd part refers the problems we must take care of when infiltrate historical thinking into geography teaching. In the conclusion part, the author reconsider ate the entire paper's research, analyze the deficient of the research, and anticipate the further investigation.
