It is the key of history education to train students' historical thinking ability.In the context of the comprehensive deepening of history curriculum reform in China,the academic circle has made many beneficial attempts to cultivate the ability of historical thinking.At the same time,the study of visual culture is also more and more extensive and in-depth.As a necessity of social communication and visual communication,images are permeating all modern lifestyles.Image historical materials are widely loved by students and teachers because of their intuitive shape and rich connotation,and they are often active in the study of history.Can image historical materials be used to cultivate students' historical thinking ability? How do students view and interpret the image data?How should teachers use image data to cultivate students' historical thinking ability?Therefore,the author will try to explore the theoretical basis of using image historical materials to cultivate students' historical thinking ability through the method of documentation.On the basis of constructivist learning theory and knowledge visualization theory,the author will compare the image historical materials in the eyes of historians with the image historical materials in the history class,and demonstrate the relationship between image historical materials and the cultivation of historical thinking ability.At the same time,questionnaire survey was used to investigate and analyze the current situation of students' understanding and interpretation of image historical materials in eight middle schools in Fu Zhou,Nan Chang and Yi Chun,so as to summarize the existing problems in teaching practice.In view of the theoretical analysis and actual problems found during the investigation,the author will combine history and image study,method of fine arts of different disciplines,supplemented by teaching cases to illustrate the history of using image of historical materials to cultivate students thinking ability need to focus on the three angles,respectively is the image using the historical data interpretation principle,interpretation methods and Suggestions.By analyzing the relationship between image historical materials and historical thinking ability,this paper summarizes the interpretation strategies of image historical materials,and then obtains the enlightenment of cultivating students' historical thinking ability,which is expected to be helpful to the future teaching.
