On the employment vocational core competencies, as has become the world including the United Kingdom, vocational education reform in many developed countries concerned about the important questions and research. Since the 20th century, the 80's,the British Government adopted a series of vocational education reform measures. Among them, under the direct participation and planning of the curriculum and qualification in the National Committee, British education departments and the community for career development of core competencies of research and testing are typical examples.At present, Britain has become a more professional sound system of national standards for core competencies, as well as the more sophisticated model of the development of core competencies.British vocational education reforms and the successful experience of the pioneering, but also attracted the world attention to a wide range of vocational education. In this paper, the United Kingdom professional development of core competencies is the the study. This paper has researched and explored: the professional core competencies of the basic concepts and ideas; the United Kingdom attaches great importance to develop core competencies of occupational economic, social background; England career development of core competencies relevant theoretical and practical modes of operation; English professional core competencies of the successful experience of development. At the core of the ability of the basic status of British vocational core competency development of systematic and in-depth study on foundation, through the Sino-British comparative study between the two countries, in this paper, to examine China's vocational education to develop core competencies in occupational status and the main question , and to consider that we can draw on the experiences of many successful in British professional core competencies development: government should be core competencies in professional development play a key role; professional development of core competencies necessary to have a corresponding system; government attaches importance to, multi-sectoral co-operation a long time to build a comprehensive system of national standards for core competencies are the core of the capacity of the United Kingdom developed the main experience; strengthen vocational development of core competencies related to the promotion of theoretical research and practice are essential to promote the vocational aspect of education reform.
