Resilience Research On Floating Children

Due to more and more floating children in our country, how to promote this group of children becomes one of the important research topics. Through rectifying the current measuring tool of resilience assessment on healthy teenagers and healthy kids and putting it to use, the status of resilience research and its functioning approach are being discovered, which can be considered as the theory reference for parents, educators, social workers and psychological researchers. Many methods are applied in this investigation and research, which includes literature analysis, questionnaires, interviews, correlation analysis, multiple variance analysis and other statistical methods. And the conclusions are as follows:(1)Through confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis, revised measuring scale of resilience research on healthy young people is much more valid and reliable, which is proved to be more applicable to China youth.(2)The level of floating children's resilience is lower than the native children (including the left-behind children and other local children). (3)Meanwhile, after comparing the level of floating children's resilience on the demographic variables, the girls is better than boys ,the children in the grade one of middle school have best resilience, then the grade two of middle school and lastly grade five in elementary school; the overall level of resilience of floating children of one-child family is higher than who lives in children's families; the floating children of private school has lower resilience than the ones in public schools.(4)Resilience environmental supports affect the children's self- esteem, active coping style, anxiety level through direct and indirect way, and indirect way is the main way that the resilience of the envir- onment supports impact their self-esteem, positive coping styles and the role of anxiety level through the influence of internal resilience idiosyncrasy, which directly impact on the floating children's self- esteem, positive coping style, anxiety level.
