The latest innovation of basic education has been the significant and most excited chapter of the education innovation and development in 21st century for certain. And in this chapter, there were lots of brand-new ideas and solutions, and the change of the studying method became a shinning star of those. And the new class proposes initiative, cooperative and Inquiry Learning methods. The result which we expect from the new studying methods is that: the students study initiatively with their own characters under the teacher's guidance. But problems spring up like mushrooms during the operation. For example, the front teachers misunderstand these three studying methods which lead to freely studying, formal cooperation and Inquiry apparently which are similar in appearance but different in soul with original idea. And some teachers don't know the applicable conditions or the weakness of each method and misuse them. What's more some totally misunderstand the new studying methods they began to resist the new methods etc. And based on those problem the author of this thesis looked into lots of works regarding to scholars' comments at home and abroad on the 3 studying methods through literature study. And through logical analysis, the author presents the intension and features of Initiative, cooperative and Inquiry Learning methods in PE classes based on their essence, and sums up the different displaying forms of each method and the connection between the three. And the author also analyzed the fitness of the three methods in 5 field targets of PE education and the preference of different studying methods by different genders and cognitive styles. This thesis gives some studying methods according to the teaching content, and it takes some examples of studying methods which matched with the teaching content based on PE education of senior high school. At last the thesis points out how to implement Initiative, cooperative and Inquiry Leanings effectively and what kind of basic competence the subjects should have.
