A Cultivation Research On Technology Innovation Ability Of Engineering Students In Colleges And Universities

Along with the arrival of information era, human beings create new knowledge and invent new technologies at an increasingly accelerated pace, also the ability to change the world has being continued to increase. The rapid development of socio-economic has made a great impact on people's way of production and life. At the same time, it brings up a higher demand for higher engineering education. Higher engineering education should adapt to the development of the times, cultivate high level advanced technical personnel to meet our country's historic task that we would build an innovation-oriented country with Chinese characteristic. Engineering colleges are the primary venue for higher engineering education and theirs main task is to cultivate innovative talents with engineering technology. Since reform and opening up, China's higher engineering education has made great progress and has played a significant role in promoting economic development. However, because of historical and practical reasons, there are some problems in China's higher engineering education what hinder the further development of engineering education. Therefore, we should actively explore the problems and their reasons in higher engineering education, reform some specific aspects and promote the overall development of our country's economy relying on the innovation in higher engineering education.This paper elaborates the basic concept of technology innovation ability and its research background. Also it introduces the theoretical training on cultivating engineering students' innovative ability in colleges and universities at home and abroad. On the base of analyzing training model of technology innovation talents in engineering colleges in United States, Germany, and Japan, this paper sums up their types and characteristics. Besides, it analyses reforming practice in the model of technology innovation talents in Tsinghua University, Shandong University, Shanghai Jiao tong University and other colleges and universities, addresses the lack of higher engineering education in technology innovation talents training and builds a technological innovation system about engineering students.At present, establishing the status of higher engineering education, increasing investment in higher engineering education and improving the level of higher engineering education are not only the challenge we face, but also the strong support of our county achieving the goal of economic development. On the base of studying higher engineering education theory, this paper taking modern engineering as a guide, identifies problems, analyzes the reasons and proposes innovative strategy for higher engineering education. We hope that higher engineering education could regard this paper as a reference.
