Research On The Matter Of Female Occupational Safety

After the founding of People's Republic of China, urban women have engaged in various fields of social production out of the house, becoming an important force in the professional component. In the planned economic management system,women's occupational safety got a strong protection of policy and system. With the development of the market economy,job arrangement and life-long employment system are broken and the women's occupational safety have been seriously affected, which are being a public concerned of social problems, needed to be solved.This article, from the sociologist's perspective, makes a research on the concept and structure of women's occupational safety, the status quo and problem, as well as the protection support system. The article divides women's occupational safety into four basic evaluation dimensions, that is professional acquisition, occupational extension, professional development and occupational health. In respect of professional acquisition, the study found that career women faced with the plight of the low employment rate and occupational gender segregation. With the restructuring of enterprises, women also become targets of downsizing for efficiency, which is a serious threat to the women's career continuation. At the same time, due to traditional gender attitudes, as well as the impact of occupational gender segregation, women rarely have the opportunity to directly participate in politics, and the ability to access to economic resources, compared with men also have a big gap. In recent years, the level of female labor protection and special rights protection has being declining, but the professional pressure is increasing. In order to protect women's occupational safety, firstly, it should perfect legislation, strengthen law enforcement, and construct the protection of women's occupational safety and legal support system; secondly, strengthen government functions, and build an advanced culture of gender; thirdly, play a role of women's federations and trade unions for the protection of women's occupational safety; Finally, the most important thing is that women should improve their own human capital and ability to safeguard their rights.This article is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, introduce the background and significance of the study; describe the ideas and content of research, research methods and sources of material. In the second chapter, first introduce the concerned theory abroad, and then discuss the research results of on domestic, and in accordance with the above study define main concepts of female occupational safety. In the third chapter, make a structural analysis of women's professional acquisition, occupational extension, career development and occupational health, and then build a three-index system of evaluating of the female occupational safety by reference to existing research results. In the fourth chapter, make a study of the four major aspects of female occupational safety through literature and interviews, and illustrate the status of women occupational safety and implied serious problem on the current situation. Based on the above analysis, Chapter V from the three dimensions of the government, social organizations and women, construct women's support systems on occupational safety. Finally, for the conclusion, summarize the research results and point out the lack and innovation of research.
