Legal modernization demands to enhance high school students' legal consciousness. The high school students also need to enhance legal consciousness to develop healthily. So it is claimed to probe valid means to meet the demands about how to cultivate students' legal consciousness which the history subject responses quickly. Abundant legal contents have been added to the history curricular criterion and historical textbook. My essay speculates these contents and wants to give some suggestions about how to cultivate students' legal consciousness on the history subject.My essay is divided into four parts.In the first part, this paper investigates and defines core conceptions such as legality, legal consciousness. Besides, the paper defines legal consciousness into powerful consciousness, democratic and equal consciousness, proceeding consciousness and consciousness about rights and obligation.In the second part, this paper speculates the uniqueness of high school students' legal consciousness. The high school students are just taking shape of legal consciousness which developing from experience to theory. Through survey and analysis, it found that students' legal consciousness has some defects, such as lacking law knowledge, the theory divorced from practice, sense of justice weakly and proceeding consciousness differently. So it requires enhancing students' legal consciousness.The third part arranges the contents of history curricular criterion, compulsory historical textbook 1 which published by People Press and the optional historical textbook 2 which published by People's Education Press .It firstly arranges the legal contents on the history curricular criterion which divided into four parts, the introductory portion, the studying main issues and target, and the teaching suggestions. The three-dimensional target is fixed tightly to each part. The studying issues are the main part of legal contents on the history curricular criterion. And it has some features, for example, focusing constitution, western law, modem law and typical law. Secondly, it arranges the new added content of compulsory historical textbook 1 which published by People Press. Then it points that the new added contents are very important. Thirdly, the paper divides the legal contents of optional historical textbook 2 which published by People's Education Press into law theory and constitution. The constitution reflects the law theory. Above all, it analyzes the content of history curricular criterion, historical textbook and gives suggestions about how to improve the writing.The fourth part gives some tactics about how to cultivate high school students' legal consciousness. It contains three parts, such as how to strengthen teacher's law minds, handle the teaching contents and form class atmosphere. The paper suggests the history teacher to read more law books and to develop case analyzing level through hearing, seeing and thinking. In the history class, we can handle the content positively and negatively. It can help to cultivate students' powerful consciousness, equal consciousness and processing consciousness about law through three teaching designs. Some specific teaching cases (such as "The Death of Socrates' and Cultural Revolution) can help students to realize the importance of legal consciousness. Lastly, we should try our best to form democratic, equal and rational atmosphere which can help to deeper students' sensibility about legality.
