Counselors serve as the backbone of mental and political education for college students. And they are also important for keeping higher education development healthy and durative. Scientific and rational assessment of counselor performance is the incentive to fulfill their responsibilities seriously, and an important means to improve the overall level of management and education for college students.Focusing on Dezhou University , this paper puts forward a comprehensive evaluation method for counselors on the basis of fuzzy mathematics theory. The most important thing in the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is to set up an evaluation factor system and to determine the weight of each factor. This paper tries to establish a multi-level evaluation factors system for counselors based on the characteristics of counselors work, and then analyze evaluation factors in details. Thus can make the evaluation system close to actual assessments, finally the evaluation results are more reasonable. The author adopts a method combined qualitative analyses with quantitative analyses to determine the weights of the Criteria layer to each evaluation factors of the target layer.By analyzing the relative importance of various evaluation factors for evaluation results according to Scale 1-9 method, the judgment matrix is established, consequently the weights of evaluation factors can be determined, so that weight assignment is more scientific, reasonable, and better to reflect the importance of the impact of each factor on the counselor evaluation results. As for the determination of evaluation factor weights for program layer to criteria layer, this paper adopts methods of weights redistribution.After the weights of evaluation factors are determined, this paper analyzes the basic structure of the multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on basic theories of fuzzy mathematics; and then analyzes a variety of conditions for evaluation in this model in the case of level-2 model. At the same time the comparative analysis for several fuzzy operators frequently adopted in the course of the model formation should be carried out. According to the difference between evaluation purpose and evaluation process, the fuzzy operator needed in this paper is determined.This paper will take the actual situation in Dezhou University as the blueprint to evaluate the actual work of counselors in the established model according to the basic theory of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The acquisition of raw data is mainly based on "Evaluation Table for Counselors' work of Dezhou University". The initial evaluation is carried out by groups corresponding to each item of the evaluation. Then the evaluation results are attained through the analysis of the evaluation matrix. The whole evaluation process fully reflects the fair and impartial principle.From the evaluation results, the evaluation model established in this paper basically achieves expected results. The evaluation results are not only in line with the visual impressions of each counselor to the competent authorities, but also get satisfactions from more than 95% of counselors in subsequent follow-up survey. The evaluation system is considered as a reflection of the actual work of counselors.In the application of this evaluation method, there are still a number of problems: First, the weight redistribution is adopted in weight distribution of program layer to criteria layer; it may result in some impacts on the evaluation results. Second, there may still be some human factors when raw data is collected. Third, the evaluation index used in this model can not cover all aspects of counselors' work. This paper only adopts some factors which have important impacts on evaluation results. It may lead to biased results, but it affects the results slightly.Innovations of this article are: First, the theory of fuzzy mathematics is introduced to evaluate the practical work, which makes the evaluation results more reasonable and fair. Second, the level-analysis is used to determine weights of evaluation factors, which avoids the unfairness of weight distribution. Third, the evaluation results is applied to guide the work of counselors, which meets the purpose of promoting construction through assessment, assessment combined with construction. Finally it will push ahead the construction development of counselor teams.
